The first consultation and planning meeting for the Afghanistan International Online School Kankor entrance examination class brought together school management and the teachers responsible for the programme to improve students’ preparation.
Participants discussed lesson delivery, timetables, subject workloads and priorities, teaching platforms, examinations, classroom preparation, and student recruitment and transfers.
Following their review, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, Dari and Pashto were selected as core subjects. History, geography, Islamic education, Quranic interpretation and geology were included as additional subjects.
Mathematics will be taught for four to six hours weekly; physics and chemistry for two hours each; biology for one hour; and Dari and Pashto for at least one session each per week. Each lesson will last 45 minutes to support orderly, high-quality teaching.
Participants also discussed assessment. Weekly tests in core subjects will be administered through Google Forms. Periodic examinations and assessments will be used for some additional subjects to monitor learning continuously.
School management emphasized that teaching materials must follow the Ministry of Education’s official standard textbooks. All lessons will take place through Google Meet. The initial class capacity was set at a maximum of 100 students to maintain effective teaching and supervision.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing regular weekly examinations, greater attention to core Kankor subjects, a manageable workload and effective use of educational platforms. Participants agreed that, where necessary and depending on available time and teaching conditions, less central subjects could be offered more selectively to allow greater focus on core examination subjects.
The meeting was constructive, responsible and collaborative. Participants expressed their full commitment to students’ success and progress.
With respect,
